PAUSE and CPU support to Dr. Ahmadreza Djalali The Conference of Presidents of French Universities (CPU) and the PAUSE Program call on the Iranian government to suspend the death sentence of the Iranian-Swedish emergency doctor Dr. Ahmadreza Djalali, and to release him, considering that the conditions in which his trial was held, which is in name only, were particularly unfair. We call for an immediate international mobilization in support of our colleague for justice to be rendered. |

Its aim is to guarantee the fundamental principles of freedom of research, to strengthen the protection of researchers and to improve the bond of trust between society and research institutions. |

In the face of increased global pressures on democracy, the PAUSE program launches a mobilization appeal On October 2, 2019, the PAUSE program organized an event at the Gaîté Lyrique in Paris entitled “Sciences and Arts in Exile”. This event aim is to raise awareness and to launch a call for the mobilization of public-private actors for the reception of scientists and artists in danger in the framework of the PAUSE program. |

Opening of the PAUSE program subscription fund On Thursday March 2, 2017, the Collège de France played host to Prime Minister Bernard Cazeneuve and the Secretary of State for Higher Education and Research, Thierry Mandon. An agreement between the Collège de France and the Fondation de France was signed to enable the PAUSE program to receive donations. |
