Over a two-year period, portraits of exiled scientists and artists and their hosts were realised. Many of PAUSE&#8217;s laureates and their host institutions took part in this project which is the result of a collaboration between the academic <strong>Pascale Laborier<\/strong> and the photographer <strong>Pierre-J\u00e9rome Adjedj<\/strong>. It emergd from their dialogue about the representation of scientific exile, involving the people photographed. Through an effect of transparency, the faces blend with symbolic fragments retracing these lives.
